When little Alba came to visit me in my studio in Plymouth her Mummy asked for a really natural newborn studio session. It was so special to be able to really focus in on all of her precious features.
When your baby is this young they are still learning how to focus their eyes. I find that they often try to focus on my studio lights. My studio lights are a low light with a defuser and are perfectly safe for your baby’s eyes.
Little Alba wanted to be awake for some of her newborn session so I had the opportunity to capture some really fun expressions!
What a cute baby! She was just 20 days new when she had her baby photos taken in Plymouth.
Following on from Mum’s desire of a natural newborn studio session I set up some floral photographs. These are set up in a posing pod on some fur and I edit them into the setup in post production. This is to make sure that you new baby is kept safe and cosy during the whole session.
More details about how I achieve this in the Plymouth studio can be found here!
In my studio sessions I include family portraits at the end of the session. A newborn studio session in Plymouth can last up to 4 hours depending on how settled a baby is during the session.
It can be a long session so if you would like siblings included I advise they arrive in the last 1 hour of the session so that they are super cheerful and excited to get in front of the camera! Check out my guide on how to prepare for your session!
Isn’t this Mummy gorgeous?! I love getting parents in front of the camera. Your newborn baby will grow up so fast so it is so special to have some precious family photos that you can look back on.
