Wednesday 9th October – Tuesday 15th October is Baby Loss Awareness Week in Plymouth 2019.
What is Baby Loss Awareness Week?
Baby Loss Awareness week was started 16 years ago. It is a week designed to raise awareness surrounding infant loss and how it affects families who are grieving. It gives families a special week where they can remember their children lost during pregnancy, during childbirth or shortly after.
Have you lost a baby?
The death of a child at any age is devastating. It is an incredibly difficult time for parents suffering through their grief and it can affect families in such different ways.
Are you struggling? Extra help can be accessed through the NHS.
The charity Remember My Baby or RMB is a UK based charity who offer a remembrance photography service to parents going through a loss of a baby. They are made up of professional photographers in Plymouth, including myself, and elsewhere in the UK who volunteer their services just before or shortly after the death of a baby.
Should you be in the position where you need the services of RMB please contact them. They will be able to put you in contact with an available Plymouth baby photographer. Or if you would feel more comfortable reaching out to me then please do.
What is a rainbow baby?
A rainbow baby is a child that is born after a loss. This gives families the chance to remember their loss while celebrating new life at the same time. This can really be expressed in your Plymouth baby photography session.
